The Web3 GTM Starter Kit

Strategy, messaging, and execution tips for early-stage teams

Web3 is fast, noisy, and unforgiving to bad GTM. If you’re an early-stage founder or marketer, you need a go-to-market (GTM) strategy that cuts through the chaos and gives your product the launch it deserves.

Your No-Fluff GTM Framework

1. Positioning

Start with the basics:

  • Who are you for?

  • What problem do you solve?

  • Why now?

Your answers should live in one clean Notion doc everyone on the team uses. This becomes the foundation for all content and messaging.

2. Target Audiences

Be specific. “Devs” or “NFT collectors” isn’t enough. Think in sub-niches like:

  • Farcaster builders

  • Latin American creators

  • Ethereum DAOs

Knowing your audience deeply = sharper comms and better traction.

3. Launch Narrative

Tell a story, not just a list of features. What shift are you enabling? Tie your message to a bigger trend:

  • Modularity

  • Restaking

  • Open editions

  • Interoperability
This gives your launch context and cultural relevance.

4. Assets

Map your content across all phases of the launch:

  • Pre-launch: waitlist page, teaser tweets

  • Launch: blog post, X thread, partner tweets, newsletter

  • Post-launch: tutorials, recap threads, case studies

Create a checklist so you’re not scrambling the night before.

5. Team Roles

Who owns what? Assign a comms lead, a reviewer, and a designer if needed. Without clear ownership, things fall through the cracks—or get delayed indefinitely.

Document the process, so every future launch is easier.

Is Your GTM Plan Ready?

Ask yourself:

  • Do we have one place where our narrative, assets, and timelines live?

  • Do we know who we’re talking to and why they should care?

  • Can we explain what’s launching in *one sentence*?

If not, your GTM might be more vibes than strategy.

Let’s Build It Right

A smart GTM plan is your best bet at getting noticed in Web3. Don’t just announce—activate.
